About The Pearson Family

Family History is a very interesting subject. It can highlight who we are and how we came to being. It has shaped our furture from where we live and what we do.
In the course of looking through our family tree, you find out things that no one knew about. From children who were born, but for some reason not known about, to 1st wives that were never mentioned.
You see that in some periods of time, families never moved out of their counties for generations, until one adventurous soul decided to further his horizons. It is usually this person who changed the course of the future and here we are today - living testament to that person. For if it wasn't for him. We also can imagine how it was to live life all those years ago. No car, no phone, no airconditioning. Was life really easier or was it a lot harder? Was there work stress as we know it today, or did you worry that your son would not return from his day at the mine?
We also know that more children were born to families then than now. A lot of reasons can be given for this, including illnesses resulting in premature death in children, contraception and religious beliefs. In modern day, we have a lot of choices made by ourselves. Who we marry, how we give birth, where we live and who we work for. Back in time, others usually made these choices.
We need to appreciate the efforts of our forebears and live our lives remembering where we came from and the hard times they lived through. This travel in time has been a fascinating excursion for me and with a lot of time, energy and love, the end result is this book on the live of the PEARSON family.
Sit back and immerse yourself in the history that made you.

Enjoy,
 Christine

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
